On the puzzle table, we had an incredibly challenging Scramble Squares puzzle. Guess what: three students from Ms. LaFleur's second-grade class were the only students able to finish it! Good job ladies!

January Centers
After the exciting Caldecott and Newbery announcements, the students settled into library centers this week. To celebrate National Penguin Awareness Day, which was last Friday, we observed the African Penguins on the big screen through the Monterey Bay Aquarium webcam. We also made penguin origami, and drew penguins on bookmarks.
